The Elephant Trail was launched in February 2026 when the first four artworks at Avoncliff Close, The Crofters Arms, Rusheylea Close and St Peter’s Parish Centre were unveiled.
The Trail is intended to be a combination of an art trail, in that at each station there will be an artwork featuring an elephant, a symbol of Bolton, and a local history trail, in that each station will be at a point of significant history.
We recommend, to get the best from the Trail, that you use a mobile with a QR code reader and the What3Words app installed.
